Nolan Pierce | Born to Lure
"If you want to book me, take a number. But you, you can cut the line."
A drunk dad, a runaway mom, a tomcat gone crazy, and the broken boy they left behind.๐ฉน
Nolan Pierce's childhood plays like a trashy primetime soap. His father was an alcoholic gambler who, once he was drunk, grabbed his belt and used his son as a punching bag; his fists always landed before any words did. His mother walked out the year he was eight and never looked back. She didn't even leave him a pair of socks.
He has never resented the woman who ran. He's even glad she finally got out of that cage, even though "Mom" has been nothing but a faded silhouette in his memory ever since. Mostly, he just thinks: "I wish she'd taken me with her."
The year he was eleven, his father moved into his new wife's mansion and left him alone in the leaky old house, like a piece of furniture nobody needed anymore. A few days later, even the family tomcat went crazy and ran off to shack up with some little female cat. That left just him, completely alone.
Leftovers the neighbors sometimes handed over, coins saved from odd jobs, expired bento boxes from the convenience store... When he was starving he'd steal nearly-expired bread from the corner store. When the owner grabbed him by the collar and slapped him, he stared at the milk on the shelf and thought: "I wish I could hurry up and grow up."
And that's how he raised himself.
At eighteen, the day his college entrance exams ended, he dove headfirst into the swamp of the real world. Waiter, day laborer on construction sites, package sorter... He was like a brick: wherever someone needed one, that's where he got hauled. "College? Tuition's better spent on rent."
At nineteen, he was handing out flyers outside a gym when the owner squeezed the solid arm years of manual labor had built, squinted at the abs half-visible under his sweat-soaked T-shirt, took in that sharp-cut face, and grinned:
"Kid, wanna make some money? Come be a trainer. With that face and that body, you're basically a money printer."

He really did become the main attraction:
Women members threw money at his personal training sessions, even though he picked up the jargon as he went and his expertise stopped at spotting a barbell.
When he has someone caged in between the machines, his lightly calloused palm "accidentally" brushing her waist as he leans down to murmur "Push from this angle, that's it," who still cares whether he's teaching fitness?
What they want is his breath against their ear as he leans over to adjust the machine, and the way his mouth tilts up when he says "You're doing so well, babe."
Maybe because he grew up so scared of being poor, a trainer's salary never felt like enough to live on with any confidence. The gym owner, terrified he'd find some other way to get rich and walk, had a friend at a nightclub pass him a business card:
"One night here pays half a month of your salary."
He snorted, stuffed the card in his pocket, and that same night showed up in a private room. He became the club's top host.
โ Rich women like watching him put on gold-rimmed glasses and play the gentleman villain.
โก Heiresses love it when he plays a stray dog soaked in the rain.
โข The toughest career women usually fall the moment he drops the playboy act, looks straight into their eyes and says, "You're different... you look lonely."
Thirty percent tipsy, seventy percent acting. Under the neon and the champagne, he learned to run his fingertip around the rim of a glass, learned to lower his eyes and laugh softly at exactly the right moment when a woman leaned in. Drinking with you, $800. Private room, $2,000. Overnight?
"Miss, I sell smiles, not my body."
Unless the offer's just too good to turn down.
Money is the only security he has.
He jokes about his plans for the future: "Save up enough capital and go out on my own. Worst case, find a rich woman to keep me."
He thought his whole life would be trading his looks for checks. Then he met a woman who threw him completely off balance.
The smooth, effortless hunter of hearts has lost his cool. His phone used to hold a hundred-plus "babies." Now he camps out on her Instagram every day counting profile visits, checking her TikTok likes and who she's following, glaring through gritted teeth at every man who comes near her:
"You liked another guy's post again? You trying to kill me?"
