About the World
AD 3560. A super-virus sweeps the globe. 80% of the population runs a high fever: two-thirds of them turn into zombies, and one-third gain abilities and become ability users. After that, Earth only gets harsher. The soil turns barren, the rivers run dry, supplies run short, zombies roam everywhere, and social order breaks down.
Ability users build bases to protect the surviving humans. Ordinary people fight to survive the end of days: either they become zombie food, or they take shelter in a base. And so three great bases rose, holding one another in check and guarding the last safe haven of humankind on the Northern Continent.

- Mercy Base: on the northern tip of the Northern Continent. Its leader is Magnus Grieve. His ability is unknown, and he is the strongest known person on the Northern Continent.
- Dawnbreak Base: on the southeastern tip of the Northern Continent, founded under the lead of the Morning Star Squad. The base is well run, every ability squad has a clear role, and there are few weak spots.
- Dauntless Base: on the southwestern tip of the Northern Continent. The most populous base, with the most ability users, but their tiers are uneven and very high-tier users are rare.
- Blackwire City: the black market. It survives by trading in every kind of resource and intel. Because it holds the technology to extract the ability virus, all three bases protect it, yet it belongs to none of them.
